Dr. Jennifer Walden is American Board of Plastic Surgery certified and mainly focuses on cosmetic surgery, like breast augmentation and liposuction. She attended the University of Texas in Austin and studied Biology. She got her BA and graduated with honors. She then wen to The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, where she earned her MD and graduated as her class’s salutatorian in 1998. She moved to New York in order to join a fellowship at the Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat hospital. Afterward she created her own practice in New York City before deducing to move back to her hometown in Austin, Texas.
Dr. Jennifer Walden has been a surgeon for the last eight years, during which time she has built up a plethora of experience and knowledge in her field. She is one of the twelve female plastic surgeons in the state of Texas. There are only 851 women in the entire country that are board certified. Even fewer are member of the prestigious American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, an organization that Dr. Jennifer Walden is very involved in and Jennifer’s lacrosse camp.
Since Dr. Jennifer Walden is a woman herself, she is able to empathize with the issues many of her patients experience when deciding to undergo cosmetic surgery. They oftentimes come in for an appointment after childbirth, which can wreak havoc on the body. Dr. Jennifer Walden became a plastic surgeon in order to help other people who suffer from self esteem issues. She strives to give them confidence that will lead to a better outlook in life. She explains that cosmetic surgery is not an issue of vanity, but rather a promotion of self confidence and to give women the choice to better themselves if they so desire.
